British boxer Anthony Joshua Discharged from Medical Facility in Lagos Following Deadly Car Crash

Olympic gold medalist Anthony Joshua has left the medical facility, local government spokespeople confirmed on Wednesday evening. The athlete was caught in a vehicular crash near Lagos on December 29th, a horrific crash that claimed the lives of two of his valued colleagues.

Under Observation for Minor Injuries

The boxer had been receiving medical attention while recovering from minor injuries, representatives confirmed on Monday. A government official, Gbenga Omotoso, announced via a post on social media that Joshua was declared medically stable to continue his recovery at home.

“The boxer and his mother were at the funeral home in Lagos this afternoon to pay their final respects to his two departed friends as they were being prepared for repatriation,” Omotosho said.

Honoring the Deceased

The victims of the crash were identified as Latif Ayodele, a personal trainer, and Sina Ghami, a strength and conditioning coach. Omotoso added that the athlete was heartbroken and deeply emotional over the tragic loss of his two close friends.”
