Emerging athlete getting ready for major competition

This young athlete has impressive online presence

The young golfer will have plenty of prominent supporters when she begins her first LPGA appearance on Thursday.

This teenage golfer, who happens to be related to a former US president, obtained a special exemption to compete at the Annika competition in Florida.

The former president, an avid golfer, operates numerous golf courses and frequently competes against Kai.

"He's fairly competent. I can't reveal details but we have some close matches," she mentioned.

The golfer shared that her grandfather, unable to come, counseled her: "Simply don't get nervous."

"He essentially suggested to play and have fun," she added.

"To me, he's simply a normal grandpa. He won't be there this weekend. He's focused on world affairs, so he's quite busy."

While still amateur, the golfer has participated in just three tournaments this year and holds ranking 461 in the American Junior Golf Association standings.

But she can receive tips from 15-time major champion, who is dating Kai's mother.

"He stands as the top athlete globally," Kai expressed.

"Additionally, he's an even better person. He suggested me to play, relax, adapting to the flow."

Kai will face multiple top competitors in women's golf at the Annika, featuring world number two Nelly Korda, British Charley Hull, Lexi Thompson and last year's winner Lilia Vu.

Officials stated that Kai's presence brings the sport to new audiences, particularly with youth audiences.

The young star has a massive following and recently launched an exclusive apparel and wellness brand.

She begins at 17:30 GMT.
